The Unclean Spirits

There are demons called unclean spirits. We let them in when we lust. (In one dictionary, lust is defined as intense, unbridled desire). This includes lusting after having sex, but it also includes lusting after money or any greed for anything, including people’s approval and attention. This is a huge but subtle problem for us today as we live and work in a competitive environment both in church and at work. Aren’t you just tired of it? It’s so bad, that I feel bad, when I have to tell someone that I’m not busy. There is no need for us to be weighed down by this need to be approved of by anyone, even ourselves. It’s exhausting competing with ourselves and trying to best our last book or album or job project.

Unclean spirits that come in when we crave these things, often come in groups, sometimes piled up in us like pancakes, so command all of them to go. If you’ve been following this blog, you know the drill:

“Unclean spirits, in Jesus Name, I call you to attention. All of you.”

You may actually feel or sense a presence in the room and identify what area of the room the spirits are in. If you do, you can turn to that area and speak to them. Do not be afraid. This is not like some TV paranormal show. This is the real spiritual warfare, Jesus has equipped you to fight. Continue,

“Unclean spirits I bind you in the Name of Jesus, and I cast you out into the abyss.”

Dismiss them with the strength of your will. Believe it’s happening, don’t doubt. It’s very simple, it’s very clear, you don’t have to speak in tongues, you don’t have to yell, they understand that ‘Name of Jesus’ power. You don’t have to use these exact words of course and please don’t make them a ritual. This is just to get you started. If you feel more words are needed…

”By the blood of the Lamb you all are bound and cast out completely, immediately and permanently.”

Then it is good to bind any retaliation and revenge spirits Satan is sending up to replace those demons, for you have dealt a blow to his kingdom. (Check out Mary Baxter’s book about his kingdom - http://www.divinerevelations.info/Mary_K_Baxter_A_Divine_Revelation_of_Hell.htm FREE!)

Say, “I bind right now in the Name of Jesus any retaliation spirits on their way up now. I rebuke you in Jesus Name and cast you right back to the abyss”

The abyss is hell. Now, some of you may think this is too bold or that we should say something else. I follow what Jesus said, not to say your opinion isn’t right, I’m just sharing what is working for me. Jesus scared the demons and they would yell out “please don’t torture me” Mark 5:6-8. Sounds like the abyss to me. That word ‘abyss’ is actually used in Luke 8:31. So that’s why I’m bold to command them to go to the abyss.

Battle on soldiers!

Then, worship the Lord and praise Him for the power He has given you. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill up all the spaces left by those unclean spirits. If any demons try to return – they returned to Jesus over and over after his temptation in the wilderness – they will not find you swept clean and empty, with room for more of them. Keep yourself filled with the Holy Spirit and anointed by God. Keep your lamps full of oil as in Matthew 25 with the ten virgins.
